Carpathian National University named after Vasyl Stefanyk has ranked 9th in the ranking of Ukrainian higher education institutions based on the results of accreditation reviews for 2019–2025, published on 16 June by the International Projects Centre “Euroosvita.”
The ranking is based on the results of educational programme accreditations conducted by the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance. In the new ranking, the university achieved a rating score of Ra = 0.33846 and entered the top ten higher education institutions in the country, alongside Ukraine’s leading universities. According to the study, the university has one of the highest numbers of accredited educational programmes in Ukraine — 218 accreditations for 2019–2025 — which was a significant factor behind its high ranking position.
Behind these strong ranking figures lies the tremendous work of the entire university community. Two hundred and eighteen successfully passed accreditations are the result of years of systematic work by academic staff, programme guarantors, heads of structural units, students and university administration. Notably, the Euroosvita ranking is based not only on formal indicators of educational activity.
Accreditation reviews assess the quality of educational programme implementation, research and innovation outcomes, international cooperation, academic mobility, staffing capacity, teaching and methodological support, and the effectiveness of the internal quality assurance system. This is why such rankings are considered among the most comprehensive tools for evaluating the performance of Ukrainian universities.
Carpathian National University’s entry into the top ten of the ranking is a strong confirmation of high standards of education quality and the effective work of academic staff, programme guarantee groups, structural units and the entire university community.
This result reflects the university’s consistent development, the successful implementation of modern approaches to quality assurance in higher education, and the strengthening of its position among Ukraine’s leading higher education institutions.
