Carpathian National University Completes Bachelor’s Degree Diploma Ceremony

Today, Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University held a formal ceremony to award diplomas to its bachelor’s degree graduates. The day was an especially moving one for students who had successfully completed an important stage of their professional development and received official confirmation of their higher education.

The ceremony opened with a moment of silence in honour of the fallen soldiers who gave their lives so that Ukraine could remain free and independent. On this day, bachelor’s degrees were awarded to graduates of the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Philology, the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations, the Educational and Research Institute of Arts, and the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

The festive atmosphere brought together graduates, their parents, teachers, mentors and guests who came to share in this milestone occasion.

Rector Valentyna Yakubiv addressed the young graduates with words of congratulation.

She congratulated the graduates on successfully completing their studies, thanked the teaching staff for their dedicated work, and thanked the parents for the support, faith and love that helped students confidently overcome the challenges of student life. In her remarks, the Rector emphasised that a diploma from Carpathian National University is not only proof of the knowledge gained, but also a symbol of hard work, responsibility and readiness to contribute to Ukraine’s development.

As Valentyna Yakubiv put it, the graduates were turning another important page in their lives, with new opportunities, professional achievements and responsible decisions ahead, and she expressed confidence that the knowledge gained at the university would become a solid foundation for their careers and the values formed during their studies would help them become worthy citizens and true professionals, adding that the university would always be proud of them and looks forward to welcoming them back as successful graduates and reliable partners.

Liudmyla Sirko, deputy head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, also addressed the graduates, congratulating them on this important life event and noting that educated, professional and patriotic young people are today the nation’s greatest asset.

Liudmyla Sirko stressed that Ukrainian society needs active, responsible and competent professionals who will rebuild the country, develop its economy, culture, education and international ties, and strengthen Ukrainian statehood. She wished the graduates the courage to pursue their professional dreams, to keep striving beyond what they have already achieved, and to always remember that their knowledge, talent and work shape Ukraine’s future.

During the ceremony, graduates received their bachelor’s diplomas, and the most outstanding students were recognised for their achievements in academics, research, creative work, community involvement and sports. Each presentation was met with warm applause, words of gratitude and emotional moments that will stay with the graduates and their families forever.

The ceremony marked the symbolic close of an important stage of university life and the beginning of a new professional path for thousands of young people who will now represent Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University in various fields of public life.

In 2026, Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University graduated around 3,000 bachelor’s students, who are now beginning a new stage of their lives and professional careers.
