Orest Ihorovych Boichuk was born on 6 October 1991 in the village of Osmoloda, Rozhniativ district, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast. From 1998 to 2005, he studied at the Slyvky Secondary School of grades I–II. In 2005, he enrolled at the Physics and Technology Lyceum at the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas.

After graduating from the lyceum in 2008, he entered the Faculty of International Relations at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. In 2013, he completed his master’s degree. That same year, he began his doctoral (postgraduate) studies at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Under the supervision of Professor Ihor Tsependa, he prepared a dissertation on the topic “The Politics of Historical Memory in Polish-German Relations.”

Upon completing his postgraduate studies in 2017, he began his teaching career as a Teaching Assistant at the Department of International Relations of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

Orest Boichuk has participated in numerous fellowship programs: Fellowships for Scholars from Ukraine (Institute for Human Sciences, Vienna), a scholarship at the Institute for Western Affairs in Poznań (Poland), and the Democracy Study Center in Kyiv. He was a recipient of the Government of the Republic of Poland scholarship for young researchers (2016–2017).
