Dear faculty, researchers, staff, students, postgraduates, alumni and friends of the university!
We sincerely congratulate you on one of the most important state holidays — Constitution Day of Ukraine!
28 June 1996 became a landmark date in the history of our state. It was on this day that the Constitution of Ukraine was adopted — the fundamental law that enshrined the sovereignty and independence of our state, defined the fundamental rights and freedoms of the individual and citizen, and the principles of democracy, the rule of law and justice. For 30 years now, the Constitution has remained the legal foundation of Ukrainian statehood and a guide for the development of a free society.
Today, amid a full-scale war, the value of constitutional principles is felt especially keenly. The right to freedom, human dignity, independence, peaceful life and the opportunity to build a future in one’s own state are values that the Ukrainian people defend every day at the cost of extraordinary courage and self-sacrifice.
For the university community, the Constitution of Ukraine is not only a legal document but also a symbol of responsibility, academic freedom, equality of opportunity, respect for human dignity, and the right to education, scholarly inquiry and free personal development. These principles underpin the work of our university, which is called not only to pass on knowledge but also to nurture conscious citizens capable of thinking critically, acting responsibly, and working for the development of a democratic, law-based and European Ukraine. We are convinced that quality education, science, innovation and an active civic stance are important components of strengthening statehood, upholding the rule of law, and building a successful future for our country.
Today we owe special gratitude to our defenders, who bravely protect Ukraine, upholding not only its territorial integrity but also the right of the Ukrainian people to live in a free, independent, democratic state. It is thanks to their courage that we have the opportunity to study, work, conduct research, carry out educational and international projects, and build Ukraine’s future.
May the Constitution of Ukraine continue to serve as a strong foundation for the development of a law-based state, social harmony and national unity. May respect for the law, responsibility, mutual understanding and love for the homeland inspire each of us to good deeds, new achievements and service to Ukraine.
We wish the entire university family strong health, prosperity, inspiration, professional success, peaceful skies, unbreakable faith in Victory, and confidence in the bright future of our state.
